Steve's strength is in advising his clients on business valuation. He has valued hundreds of businesses of various sizes and industries across Ontario. Steve also has many years of practical transaction advisory experience - advising clients on how to acquire or divest of their privately-held business. He has also previously worked for a major international consulting firm, advising on corporate value measurement and derivative valuation (stock options).
Steve Skrlac received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from the University of Windsor. He is also a Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CBV Institute) and he adheres to its code of ethics. Steve distinguished himself in the CBV program by achieving the highest mark in Canada on two of the four required valuation courses. Steve Skrlac also holds the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (ICFA) and adheres to its code of ethics. Steve is also trained in the Collaborative divorce process. Steve has lectured on business valuation and related topics. He has been featured in a Globe & Mail article about business valuation.
